Tempera Discs: Practical and economical to use, tempera discs make it easy to produce an opaque finish like tempera gouache (Using very little water) or a clear finish like watercolours (using plenty of water).
Pencils: They can be used by themselves, or as part of the painting process. e.g. Do the ouitline using pencil, then fill in with paint. Add detail on a painted model (once the paint has dried)
Oil Pastels: These crayons have high covering power and allow you to colour in large surfaces in a short space of time.
All colours are bright and powerful, and you can also use their matt appearance to contrast with the softness of the watercolours. By juxtaposing these small amounts of colour, you can create in the same way as the impressionists did (Pointillism Technique)
